Tony and George

George Bush and Tony Blair were enjoying an expensive glass of apple juice in their local cafe when an odd mathematical situation occurred. The waiter brought them the bill for a whole number of US$consisting of four odd numbers.

"Hey", remarked the White House incumbent, "this bill is for exactly nine times too much".
"No worries", replied the denizen of Downing Street, "Just cross out the first digit and it's correct." And, being known as Teflon Tony, he was of course right. What did they pay?

Beer and Wine

Of six barrels of capacity 15, 16, 18, 19, 20 and 31 litres respectively, five are filled with wine and only one with beer. A customer bought two barrels of wine, and then a second customer also bought wine, but of a quantity twice as much as the first.

Which is the beer barrel?
