Pouring Puzzle

You have access to a 5 litre bowl, a 3 litre bowl, a working water tap, and a drain.
How could you measure out exactly 4 litres of water?

Fill the 3 litre bowl, pour it into the 5 litre bowl. Fill the 3 litre bowl again and fill the 5 litre bowl by pouring 2 litres into it, leaving 1 litre in the 3 litre bowl. Empty the 5 litre bowl (water the flowers so you don't waste it). Pour the 1 litre of water in the 3 litre bowl to the 5 litre bowl. Fill the 3 litre bowl and pour it into the 5 litre bowl. The 5 litre bowl now has 4 litres and the flowers have been watered.

Put the 3 litre bowl inside the 5 litre bowl and fill it until it runs over and water fills the 5 litre bowl to the top. Remove the 3 litre bowl and pour the contents down the drain. Repeat. The displacement of 3 litres twice leaves 4 litres in the 5 litre bowl.

Same Anon who said Nora is 72.

Fill the 5 litre bowl, pour to fill the 3 litre bowl, empty the 3 litre bowl, pour the remaing 2 litres into the 3 litre bowl. Fill the 5 litre bowl again, pour into the 3 litre bowl till full, (which had 1 liter space left). 4 litres left in the 4 litre bowl.
